He was only five years old. I thought I was going to take Blue with me to my first home. I even had thoughts of making him my ESA, but illness befell him out of left field this year, and he was gone within a few months.         I felt so many things from anger to sadness to injustice. I had lost my best friend that I thought was supposed to live much longer than he did but he didn’t. It didn’t feel fair or right and now I had a huge hole where he once was.       First of all, I have been gone for a few weeks. Instead of uploading once a month, I did have a spell there where I uploaded every week! I was proud of myself for doing this, but it wasn't hard! This blog is my safe space and I loved to update. Hey y'all! August is finally passed, and we are finally saying hello to September and fall! I cannot wait for autumn, but before we move forward, we must look back; in this case back to this month's August favorites! Song- "I am Not a Woman, I'm a God'- Halsey I love this song with all my being. It is the perfect 'bad-bleep-Addison-Rae' song for waking up in the morning and getting ready. I have always been a fan of Halsey, and their work, but for me "If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power" is hands down her best album. I would highly recommend giving it a listen if you haven't already. Some other favorites I have off this album are "Bells in Santa Fe" and "Lilith." I read the classic novel and received the movie as a gift for my 9th birthday. I watched it over and over again. I love the magic of finding a place that only you know about. All the secrets Mary was finding in the manor sparked so much excitement in me when I was young. As I grow older I can appreciate and understand the characters, as well as enjoy the theme more. The appreciation for something as simple as a garden is so healing, and this movie reminds one of that.  2. Hello everyone! It has been raining all day today, but unlike some, I love the rain. It gives us a good atmosphere to stay inside, spend time with our families, or spend much needed time with ourselves. So here are some ideas for a fun day indoors. 1.  Learn something new-  I can’t speak for everyone but I know my bookshelf is full of untouched books chalk full of interesting and useful information. From ‘Herbal Remedies’ to “The History of Fashion,” there is a plethora of different things to read about. It never hurts to expand the knowledge of your mind. If you don’t have any books on hand, you may be able to check them out for free through an electronic library, or use the internet for your research. Whether book or phone, make sure your author is using reliable sources, and have fun learning.  Work on a project-   At the moment, I am toiling away with a little cross stitch, just begging to be finished and framed. This month has been a busy whirlwind, I feel, with a full time job and preparing for vacation, but last week I was finally able to take a looong break from it all.  A lot has happened! She came out with a new unexpected album titled “Planet Her” and I could not have been more excited. I have loved Doja since her Amala era and couldn’t wait to see what this album had in store. The Weeknd.’ The moral is arguably questionable but music is less about morals and more about stories and experiences; right or wrong. Picking flowers is one of my favorite pastimes. Yes, actually. I love stopping by roadsides, searching through the forest, and even my own backyard for different florals.  Since Beltane/MayDay was a few days ago, I thought I might post about something so commonly found in peak springtime! One of the first times I really got interested in flowers is when I created a Botany Book in Middle School: Initially my interest peaked in Apothecary, which is why I wrote down healing properties and methods. I’m still a big believer in folk medicine and would really enjoy foraging!        Typically when I create my blog posts I try to keep them lighthearted, but I have just not been feeling it. A lot of the recent news in the world has been sorrowful and disheartening and that is something I desperately needed a break from.       I have previously had qualms with Instagram, from feeling exhausted from the excessive flicking through stories and posts, to the fact that it’s platform seems to encourage unhealthy, volatile, and upsetting discourse, and although my current issue isn’t one that can be fixed by the platform, I still felt deleting it would be the best thing for me to do for myself, at least for the time being.       So, for whatever reason you may be considering or already discontinuing your social media (temporarily or permanently),here are a few good activities you can do instead of being online ♥️  1.
